In central Naxos between two (2) water streams, one will find the village Vourvouria. It is usually not included in the maps, perhaps because it’s a paradise on earth and its presence had to remain completely secret.

The streets of the village are full of lilac, orange and olive trees, while lots of water springs flow through and end up in the nearby river.

Wander around the narrow streets, light up a candle in the Church of Agia Paraskevi and admire the tranquility and the sounds of nature. Besides, it is not surprising that the village took its name from the sound the flowing water is making.
