Koronos is a mountain village, 35 km from the Naxos Town, situated at an altitude full of olives. It’s a purely agricultural village with few tourist facilities but great architectural interest.

Visitors can walk around the narrow streets of the village and admire houses with special architecture. One cannot terminate his tour if he hasn’t seen the monument of “The Fallen” by the famous sculptor Armakolas, erected in honor of the people executed by the Nazi occupiers, as well as the bust of Nikiforos Mandilaras.

Just outside the village and on top of Koronos Mountain (altitude of 930 m), you will find the Kako Cave (“Bad” Cave), which in antiquity was a place of worship of the god Dionysus.
