Glinado

Glinado

In the west part of Naxos we meet the village of Glinado, a picturesque village that stands out for its natural beauty. They describe it fairly as “the balcony of Naxos" because it has a panoramic view towards all sides of the horizon and the deep blue Aegean Sea. In addition, the village is a node because it unites Naxos Town with two well-known villages, Agersani and Tripodes.

At the entrance of the village there is the church of Agios (St.) Nicodemus, the protector of the village. The village itself offers apart from that attractions such as the water tank, the Kargela mill, the Tzanakos Chapel, the parish church "Metamorfosi Sotiros", built on in 1680 and of course the ruins of the ancient temple of Dionysus in the plain area of Iria.

The breathtaking landscapes, the beautiful sunsets and the picturesque streets form the uniqueness of this village and promise the visitor relaxation, tranquility and particular hospitality in the three (3) impressive hotels of Glinado.
